Margata's voyage through time
2020
The beginnings in Ibiza
Margata was born in Ibiza, one of the most emblematic nautical destinations in the Mediterranean. From day one we committed to a model built on closeness, deep sector knowledge and a fully personalised relationship with every client.
2021
Consolidation across the Balearic Islands
In our second year we consolidated our presence in the Balearics, growing the fleet under management, the number of transactions completed and the confidence of new clients who began to rely on Margata to guide them through every decision.
2022
Expansion into northern Spain and Portugal
Our activity extended to new ports in northern Spain and Portugal, allowing us to offer a closer service along the Atlantic coast and to widen our network of clients and partners.
2023
Specialising in larger yachts and investment assets
This year marked a turning point. We began focusing on larger vessels and evolved towards a model in which a yacht is no longer purely an emotional purchase, but also an investment asset. At the same time we entered a strategic collaboration with one of the world's leading superyacht companies, based in Monaco, giving us access to higher-level opportunities and transactions while always retaining our independence.
2024
Arrival in the United States
We opened our Miami subsidiary to cover the east coast of the United States, extending our ability to support clients with interests in both Europe and the Americas and reinforcing our international presence.
2025
The birth of a nautical boutique
We deliberately stepped away from public exposure to become a specialised boutique. Today we design fully bespoke charter experiences and source vessels that rarely reach the open market. Every transaction is studied from a legal, technical, financial and wealth perspective, always seeking the best decision and the greatest possible return for our clients. Our goal is no longer to sell more boats, but to help our clients make better decisions.
2026
The birth of the Club
After years of privately connecting clients with shared interests, we are taking a further step with the creation of the Margata Club. More than a nautical platform, it will be a private ecosystem where our clients can access investment opportunities carefully selected and validated by our team. Beyond vessels, the Club will bring together opportunities in real estate, hotels, exclusive assets and collectibles, many of them proposed by the members of the community themselves. Yachting will remain the meeting point that unites our clients, but the Club is born to turn that relationship into a network of trust for sharing knowledge, opportunities and long-term investments. Launch expected this year.
